Survivor speaks: We'll soldier on
24-year-old Terence Ong, one of the 17 survivors of the dragon boat tragedy, says the remaining national team members will stick together and work hard to achieve the goals of the five paddlers who lost their lives.

Inquiry will allow survivors to 'speak freely'
An independent inquiry committee will be formed within one week to look into what really happened at Cambodia's Tonle Sap river. Singapore Sports Council CEO Oon Jin Teik says the panel will let the rowers, officials and family members speak freely. Parliamentary Secretary for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Teo Ser Luck, elaborates on the post-mortem that will be conducted for all overseas competitions, to ensure the safety of local athletes.

Life vests: Life-saver or liability?
Parliamentary Secretary for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Teo Ser Luck, says the wearing of life vests will now be mandatory for all water sports, including overseas competitions - even if rules don't call for it. Backing this up was President for the Singapore Dragon Boat Association, Kwek Siew Jin. But Mr Kwek was quick to add that he's not pointing the finger at anyone.
