The photos first appeared on the Internet on Monday - the same day that the Chinese government sent out stern warnings to 19 top websites over issues of pornography and vulgarity.

A WOMAN who siphoned more than $800,000 from a company for over three years was jailed for 66 months on Thursday. Frances Leong Kit Jin, 30, was an administrative officer at Fuji Horiguchi Engineering when she forged company cheques and misappropriated money between 2003 and 2007.

ISLAMABAD - PAKISTAN'S security agencies had authorised confirmation the surviving Mumbai gunman was Pakistani, the former national security adviser said on Thursday, adding he was sacked because the prime minister had been out of the loop. India had been saying for weeks the gunman captured in Mumbai, Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, was from Pakistan. Pakistan had said it could not find his name on a national database of citizens and it was investigating.

KUALA LUMPUR - BUDGET carrier AirAsia said on Thursday it will shift to its own US$460 million (S$681.4 million) airport outside Kuala Lumpur, and abandon its overcrowded terminal next to the main international airport. The move has thrown into doubt the national airport operator's plans to build a new Low Cost Carrier Terminal next to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), to replace the existing facility that opened in 2006.

THE mother of Bangkok pub fire victim Lu Weiye thought nothing of it when she did not get a reply to an SMS she sent to him jut after midnight on New Year's Day wishing him 'Happy New Year'. But when she read newspaper reports the next day of the blaze at the Santika pub, she frantically tried to reach him on the phone to no avail.
